So often we go to clients homes and they apologize up front about how terrible their dog's going to behave. They swear the whole family couldn't hold him down for a nail trim. "He definitely won't let you touch his paws." We get to know their pet, slip in some treats and take it slow. Before they know it, their pet's done and licking up Beggin Strips. It's not always as calm as preferred, but usually gets done with patience. We've done thousands of nail trims and have a great sense of when a pet's not having it, and know how to adjust to that.
